Newly Published Paper Authored by Lab Alumni Charlotte C. Smith

We are happy to share that Charlotte C. Smith, a visiting PhD student to the lab in 2021 has recently had her paper, "Amazonian secondary forests are greatly reducing fragmentation and edge exposure in old-growth forests", accepted into Environmental Research Letters. Her paper discusses the importance of secondary forest growth within tropical landscapes, in this instance the Amazon, as a method for climate change mitigation and increased biodiversity.

To take a deeper look into the paper, you can read the abstract or the full, open-access article through the links on our publications page here.

Congratulations Charlotte!
